Carnegie Mellon University has opened voting on this year’s Robot Hall of Fame inductees to the public.
Hit https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/RHoFPublic to see the nominations and vote on your favorites in four categories: Education & Consumer; Entertainment; Industrial & Service; and Research.
In the Industrial category, I’m going with the Kiva warehouse picking system. Autonomous robot forklifts delivering products to packing stations on demand, almost as if requested products materialize in the hands of packing workers. Wow. See Kiva CEO Mick Mountz’s demo in his TEDx Boston talk earlier this year for a demo.
You have until September 30 to vote. The winners will be announced at the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh on October 23 in conjunction with the RoboBusiness Leadership Summit, also in Pittsburgh.
